SO THE LAST TIME MY HUSBAND TOOK OUR BOAT, BBF 460 .60 OVER, OUT ON THE RIVER SOMETHING HAPPENED... LIKE IT ALWAYS DOES >:( SO AT FIRST EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. WENT FOR A GOOD RUN AND THEN BEACHED IT TO WAIT FOR THE RAIN TO STOP. (IDK WHY HE THOUGHT A RAINY DAY WOULD BE A GOOD DAY FOR BOATING) ANYWAY RAIN STOPS SO HE GOT BACK IN SHOVED OFF THE BEACH STARTED IT UP AND BEGAN TO GO UPRIVER. AT SOME POINT HE LOOKED BACK AND REALIZED THAT THERE WAS NO WATER COMING OUT OF THE HEADERS AND THEY HAD STARTED TO TURN GOLD. SO HE SHUT IT OFF AND GOT TOWED IN BY THE ONLY OTHER PERSON ON THE RIVER ON A RAINY DAY. BEFORE HE BEACHED IT THERE WAS WATER COMING OUT OF THE HEADERS AND ENGINE TEMP NEVER GOT ABOVE 160. ENGINE TEMP WAS PERFECT WHEN HE NOTICED THE PROBLEM AS WELL. SO MY QUESTION IS WHAT THE HECK COULD HAVE HAPPENED WHILST THE BOAT WAS BEACHED THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS? COULD THE LITTLE LINES THAT FEED WATER TO THE HEADERS HAVE GOTTEN CLOGGED SOMEHOW? UGH THIS BOAT HAS BEEN A PAIN IN THE REAR SINCE WE FIRST ADOPTED IT. EVERY FREAKING TIME WE TRY TO GO OUT IN IT, IT HAS TO MALFUNCTION SOMEWAY OR ANOTHER. WTH?? :banghead:
ANY THOUGHTS OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED ^-^

If it has a Bassett t valve it could be stuck or clogged I had the same problem so I unscrewed the single inlet and cleaned the ball and spring as well as the hoses hope this helps it's a easy fix if your boat is plumbed that way

He's not the only one dealing with the water in the header issue, and definitely not the only one having problems with the boat..
For some of us, it acts like a puzzle, it's fun to work on and even more fun to be on..
Like I always told my wife, "yes it is an addiction, but there are a lot worse things to be addicted to than a boat"

Good to see you are still here and still into it. Don't get discouraged, boats operate in a considerably harsher environment than cars and take way more of a beating.
Cheers,
