What you need is a big dog for those coons! I guess a big dog would work for any coon! >:D

If you shoot them in the head and don't mess up the skins they are worth about $35 each!

My blue heeler, in his younger days, would tangle with the coons . He'd come back torn up, rest for a few days, repeat. It's a good thing God made them sturdy...they're not afraid of much!
OHHH  the coons are excellent cat detourants. ::)

Years ago my buddy lived in the Hollywood Hills; a racoon lived in the trees next to his house; they ate dog food right out of our hands; pretty cool.

Really not too good of an idea to send your dog after em... Being from Maine, I've seen a lot of dogs ripped to shreds by those things. They get under the dog and shred the soft underbelly. Seen a couple dogs with their insides hanging out of their belly's, both were dead.

Our friends have pet rabbits for their two girls. One night they heard a high pitched scream coming from the backyard, he flicked on the outside light and a big racoon was sitting straight on its hind legs, holding one of the rabbits (the one screaming) and eating the stomach out of it. Mean little bastarads. The girls had nightmares after that one for awhile.  ;)

Use to be a bartender on the river called "Hulls Hut" that was right by our place in Parker, this was in the mid 60's. He had a pet racoon that would roam up and down the bar and the customers would feed it peanuts. The bartender also gave us 50 cents for each horse fly that we brought him dead.  :)

I've got a couple racoons that come around here nightly to feed on the cat food my wife puts out. Most of the pools I clean are in Palos Verdes/Rolling Hills..... I always find raccoon droppings in the shallow end of some of the pools. Last week I found a dead rat in the bottom of a pool. Fun Stuff Indeed!!!
