Title: One engine verse twin engines

Looking into buying a used jet boat (1995-2001).  Would appreciate some pros & cons of one engine verse twin engines.   

Also any suggestions of boat make, i.e., sugar sand, sea doo, yamaha would also be appreciated.

Maybe its just me, but ive never liked/trusted the boats that seadoo, yamaha and the like offer with a waverunner powerplant....

You're not going to get much response around here about those types of "jet boats".

If you scan through some of the pictures you won't see anything from SeaDoo, Sugar Sand, or Yamaha unless someone is stuffing a big block into it.

i would imagine two is better than one. but like said before you are talking about the wrong type of jet boat for this crowd.

i dunno about you guys but im sitting here trying to figure out how to get 2 motors into my boat....

I dunno....there's something to be said for a boat with a 3 year warranty.

What yamaha! your at the wrong web site. these boats are american made by americans. :thumbup:

Actually they are mostly made in Tennessee.   I frankly love some of the features that only Yamaha seems to offer in their boats like that table in the swim deck area.  To answer your question, the only real "knock" I have heard about the boats is porpoising at top speed.   I like 'em !    But can't afford one   :(

Actually, I have spent a lot of time in a SeaDoo "Speedster" the twin engine one and they a hell of a lot of fun!
But to be fair, They really are not boats, They are more like A big dumb PWC on steroids!
And if I was going to buy one it would be a SeaDoo.

Still a lot of fun.............. Just not a real jet boat! ;D
