Ok so I have been trying to keep my boat build on the down low until everyone see's it for the first time at AVI in August. My question to everyone is does the pink and teal look good together ??? Ya Ya Ya I know my motor is covered and that will not been seen until AVI the only reason that pic is attached because I repainted the white on the bottom of rub rail.

Any body? Does the pink look good or should I change the pink? Come on guys and gals let me know what you think or what I should do.

Dude, I once painted a boat chrome yellow and plumb crazy purple and pinstriped it in neon lime green.
Looking for the pictures now.
Knock yourself out. I dig it.

The pink was the wife's choice. I kinda like it.
-
The colors go with each other.. You can add a candy coat or pearl to the pink and dress it up a little..

Well my plan was to add a pearl to the clear coat. My wife just said she wants to do zebra stripes on the pink and I told her "hell no,I already painted it pink for you". Lol
-
I agree.... no zebra stripes

Ya well I painted the boat over the weekend and let it sat in my shop for about 18 hrs, started to spray the clear coat and it bubbled all my paint. Mother f'er. I was so pissed. Spent all weekend on it and it turned out F****d. Now I am going to sand the entire deck start with 100 grit and a DA sander then go with a 1000 grit and then use a non sand primer. And try it again. Any other suggestions???? Before this happens again and light the boat on fire.

My entire bottom has speedcoat.
-
Since you have to do it again I would paint it teal and use the pink for accent.
-
That is exactly what why plan is. I'm going to do the whole boat teal and just around the rub rail and scoop pink. The bubble and raised rail is going to be gun metal gray. All the Paint should be here tomorrow and I will sand it this week after work and paint it this weekend. HOPEFULLY it turns out right.

Did you figure out what the issue with the paint was?
-
No clue. I used figerlass paint from house of colors and and I used a rust-olem automotive high gloss clear. The paint I just ordered is a single stage all in one paint from house of colors. They said it has clear already mixxed in and there is no need to spray a coat of just clear. WE SHALL SEE..........
