Kim Dedic.

He was the guy that did all of our boats at Advantage before we switched to decals. He'd paint the company logo and the cf numbers on every boat. He's also the guy that use to host the Rat Fink parties every December for Ed Roth and Von Dutch before they moved over to Moon. Those names probably mean nothing to you but you should learn who they were. lol
If he's still in biz, he's the best there is today of the old school stripers and well worth a call and a tow to his shop that was/is in Fullerton. The card I have of his is over 10 years old, but here's his number. 714 525 1869

Everyone who grew up in the 60's knew who Rat Fink was/is, unless they had their head buried between their cheeks.  ;)

And Von Dutch, even bigger legend. The father of modern pin striping. I still have my first motorcycle helmet I got in 1968 that was striped my Von Dutch. My dad was in a car club when I was a kid and some of the meetings were at a place in Buena Park called "Cars of the Stars" and Von Dutch worked there, so I got to see him quite a bit. He wouldn't know me if I fell on him back then, but I sure as hell know who he was.  ;D And of course my dad and his buddies all grew up in Hollydale/Southgate/Compton and Lynwood and would have their cars striped by him in the 50's, so I grew up hearing stories of the man.

The funny thing is about the clothing line is Von Dutch ( hate is a strong word so I won't use it here) didn't much care for jews, blacks, most minoritys. He was obsessed with Nazi germany stuff, and in a semi famous letter that a collector has, even said he's a nazi. That fact that all the idiot rappers adopted that logo as their own and and wore his name on their clothes at every photo op, not to mention the sea mindless followers, mostly white for some reason, that did the same, is very ironic. I think he would find it very funny.

In the wake of all this, the Kar Kulture guys felt something was taken from them so in response they came up with some shirts of their own.

Ken Howard...Von Dutch.  :)
