Title: Place at the river

Can you mortgage a place a the river? I found a place bout 10 miles north of blythe off the 95 for 90k I have enough for a down but Im not sure If I can finance the rest. Anyone have experience with this? ???

It depends on what it is. If it is an older trailer on a lot no one will touch it. What are you looking at?

My buddy was bidding on a house in the high desert at about 80k and the bank turned them down because "It wasnt a big enough loan" whatever that fukin means :screwy:

doublewide on a lot right on the water. has a small garage in the back as well. Doublewide is about 7 years ols.

The fun part (sarcasm) at least in WA with banks is getting an appraisal done that meets or exceeds the loan amount.

She says you have to own the land its on, among other things. You buying the land to or is it Indian?

The post above this one is exactly right. The most important part of the whole process is weather or not you actually own the land. If it's deeded (Indian or BLM land) you cannot take a mortgage on it. However if you DO own the land you can take a mortgage out, but also as mentioned above the coach will have to be appraised and it better be in good condtion, b/c banks are pretty specific about that stuff.
That being said, if you are talking about the area I think you are talking about, I would bet that the land there is owned by the Indians, is it around Villa Shores?
Either way, good luck with the whole thing, that is the section of river where my place is, it's really nice.
