Ok, heres the deal. I'm takeing my little boat (the Lancer) to the lake Sunday to get some (before pump work) gps numbers on it. If you dont know/remember the boat here it is http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=1284.0 and here http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=1946.0 . It still has the same Mighty BBF ;D and the same Jacuzzi YJ pump :( for now. So, go ahead and take a guess as to what its top speed will be. For the winning guess, the prize will be the ability to say you were right ::). This will be real gps numbers, not Ebay/craigslist numbers and the closest guess over or under winns, so good luck with your guesses ;). I will show the actual numbers Sunday night.

You need to take a chill pill. Ralphs boat is very fast and from the few times I've met him, he's a very cool guy. Does that make him imune from taking a little ribbing from me or anyone else, I don't think so. Christ you guys take this crap way to serioulsy.

Maybe at one time you were someone in the baoting world, maybe. I may not have tons of boating experience but I've been around hot rods all my life, first car @ 13 was a 67 Firebird 400 CI/4 SPD car, that's what I learned to drive in, learned to fix when it didn't run. You can talk all the shit you want about me and my boats, and you can bet your sweet ass that this Tahiti will be in Parker in June. Maybe you can show up and regale us all with your tales of the boating industry in it's heyday, I mean after all you seem to be the self imposed King of all things floating. I'm done with you and this post. For now, GO EAT A DICK you asshole.
PS- You're right, Ralph is a helluva guy, and his boat is fast.

Look what happens when I leave you kids alone and go to work ::) . LOL, this turned into some funny shit !
Well I did a few things to it after work, new ignition switch, charged the batt, set the timeing where the motor likes it, and adjusted the throttle cable so I can have full throttle again. The timeing was backed way off and the throttle has been set not to allow full throttle after destroying two thrust bearings in the pump in two months a few years back :o. So, off to the lake in the morning to see what kind of damage I can do >:D.

So, I guess mine (Lancer) is a copy of a vomit shake, that might explain that smell from under the old floor ;) ;D.

I am still sticking with my guess of 61 mph.
If it was a chevy I would have guessed closer to 51mph.

The results are in, and yea I was a little disapointed :( , But it looks like we have a WINNER

First run off the trailer was 52.9mph and 5100 rpm >:( , I think I own the worlds slowest jet boat :sly:. I started looking around to see WTF was wrong because I know this motor will turn way more than 5100 !! Well I found out the secondarys were not opening (vac sec) so I rigged up a bolt in the linkage to get them to open ::), and tried again. results, 53.8 at 5500 :banghead:. OK, now Im getting mad :mad:!! So off come the baffles and the small flame arrestor fell off and went under the seat. Time to let the beast breath !! I'll get this mother ####### thing over 54 mph if it kills me !! ::). btw, crescent wrenches dont float :banghead:.
FINAL RUN , 54.2 mph at, well, see the pics for rpm :o. I think its verry obvious this pump is junk and was never intended to do what I want it to do. As a side note 3000 rpm was 35.2 mph.
All clean and ready to go ;D

Yea, This time of the year Pine Flat is a great place to go play around like this. Not to many people and smooooth water in the morning or late afternoon. And believe it or not those pics were in the main body of the lake, not up river. ;D
2savs energizer / jacuzzi was a WJ, mine is a YJ >:( . And yes it is verry worn out !!!! But Tom and young Josh are finished with my replacement >:D. Im going to replace this POS Jacuzzi with a Berkeley and see what I can get out of this little boat (at least thats the plan, for now).
