damn thats pretty small.  why not set a higher upload size and then imagemagick "convert" or gd them down on upload to a smaller size to save server space?  with most phones being 5-8mp these days a 1.4mb file is pretty much not gonna happen.  asking people to change their camera settings for one website kinda sucks.

ps when is app image uploading going to be fixed?  ive been avoiding anyones posts/threads that posts up pix using your apps because its a chore to click and download each picture one by one... id imagine im not the only one.

I uploaded a new app to itunes today to fix the mobile app pic attachments. I also submitted a request to have my review expedited, but it was denied. I submitted a second request to have it expedited and havent heard anything yet. Trust me, I find this issue more annoying than anyone here.

about the attachment size, i set it at that size while ago. i will look into bumping it up. i already have the server resize them upon upload. I just dont want to overload the server processing huge files.

Also, I have about 5 gig free on the server....and its filling up. trying to budget out to see if this site can afford an upgrade in hardware at this time. this place barely pays the bills at this point and its taken me a long time to get it to this point. I am kinda burnt out having this thing eat more money than it makes.

Keep in mind I am a one man show running this site out of pocket and on a budget. I am not one of these power house sites with mega boat manufacturer banner ads all over the site. kinda disappointed I even run the ads I do, but something has to keep the lights on. Sitting on a large overhead of shirts that aren't selling either.

Why dont you sell some ad placement...like to transwest, summit, ford, chevy...ect  Keep it simple to just a few for your time. Maybe hire a web nerd to handle this site paid by the ads. I usually give(free) my hats, shirts, jackets...ect out to good customers. I do this once a year and my name / rep has kept me going larger each year. When you have a socal event...ask for donations...they do it in church and this place is definitely a congregation of inspiring talent.

Yeah Brad hang tuff bud you've done an amazing job with this place, by far the best Boat web site out there plus the people give you an honest opinion with out calling you a total dip stick even though its pretty obvious we all are in our own way , Not to mention when you had your last bash in Laughlin I was launching my boat at the launch next to the Riverside I told this young fellow jet boater that you guys were at Big Bend and was he going, he said Hell Yes Im going now that I know that there at Big Bend I watch those guys on You tube all the time they rock ! I have to admitt Your vedeos are by far the best there are ! Period ! Yeah I know that doesnt pay the Bills But maybe ask everybody here for sugestions on How to keep it going with out breaking the bank , Or maybe its time to quit your day job and go big with the web site !ps how many shirts are we talking ?

Brad I think you do a great job with the site. Sometimes I have to open my photos or open keyboard to get my replies to post. No biggie lately I haven't been able to post any videos. Again no biggie I don't have a problem opening up people's photos its just a click. Believe me I appreciate everything you do for this site. I'm on multiple times a day and can't get enough. The info on this is invaluable and would be lost without it. I even catch myself reading post that are years old. I wouldn't mind more advertising to make the site better. Keep it up Brad you've made my boating life so much better than it would be without this site. Thank You !!!

The shirts I have left over are trashed. Berkeley (my dog) decided to take them all off the table, pull them outside through the doggie door and drag them through the mud. Shredded a few too.  ...all while I was in PHX for the Lucas Oil world finals a few weeks ago. I need to go through them....figure out whats junk and whats good. Wash them and have a fire sale on the remainder of my inventory. Maybe a Black Friday thing or a Cyber Monday thing. I just need them gone at this point. Don't bother looking in the store at this time, I removed all the inventory until I get it sorted out.

I am also working on putting a DVD together and hope to have it available before xmas. The funds made from that will be used to invest in some better video equipment to produce better videos. (quad-copter, legit video camera, more gopros, computer hardware, etc). The plan is to put together DVD's once a year of the years activities. The first one will include all existing SCJB videos and unseen bonus footage.

Yourmom, I am the hired computer geek. Running ads from large companys like summit/jegs/etc is out of the question. I dont pull the traffic numbers they require. We're small time here. I dont like sharing my traffic stats, but lets just say they aren't impressive lately. I am not talkin down my site, its just the facts. I run the google ads you see. They make a few bucks, but along with the traffic stats, its slowly decreasing over time.

I may be sharing too much above, but I'd like to be honest with you guys. This isnt just my site. Yes, I run it and own it. But its you guys who make it what it is. Dont worry, its not going anywhere. I've been offered to sell it a couple of times now and turned it down before even numbers could be entertained. This is my baby. I've watched it grow and I dont want to see it fail. I've made some amazing friends and some true enemies over the years. Theres nothing I would go back and change and theres nothing that could convince me to change the way things are going. I just wish I had the time and money to invest into the things I would like to see make this place bigger and better for you guys.

...and for the guy who asked about donations. Check the front page on the left side.   I currently dont have a donate button in the app. Its frowned upon by apple.

Like in church they pass a bag around at the time of a meeting... When you have a socal event pass a bag around.

As many forums as I'm a member of which a few to name are, powerstrokearmy, thedieselstop, chevelleforum, coloradok5, pwc today, xh20, pb, jbpforum, trx450r  and theres a few more. But of all of them this is the most user friendly site I have ever been a member on and is my most visited/participated forum. I have half the issues with this site compared to the others.

As far as posting pictures I have never had a problem on my desktop and one once dent where my phone wouldn't post anything at all but it was an easy fix, reinstall and it was all good. The only learning curve with the app is you have to wait 15-20 seconds after the first picture to post your reply/ thread or add another picture.

But IMO this is thee best forum I have had the privelage of being a member on. A lot of great guys and help is avaiable to anyone who asks usually for the price of a few beers and good company. I can honestly say I have no complaints givin the current rise of other member issues and I be believe a big thanks to brad is in order.

Great site man and thanks.

Definitely second everything that's been said so far. This is a pretty awesome site! Everyone is helpful and offers up great advise and comments (unlike the Facebook ones at the end of espn articles).... It's been really cool to search for some of the problems/questions I have with my boat and find answers and explanations from past post. Thanks for doing such a good job!
