I live in  reno and it's been cold and wet this year so far but they say this Sunday it's going to be 70 degrees and that warm enough for me. The boat has been in the garage covered for 6 months. I did an oil change last Sunday for the season and it ran 20 seconds. I saw good oil pressure and shut it down. Now I have a raw fuel  (pump gas) smell and nothing is leaking. I can only smell it on the left rear corner of the hull. It has duel fiberglass tanks and the supply line are in the rear of the tank but the tops are dry. There is a Y on that side for for both tanks that go to the to the pump but clamps are tight and hoses aren't gummy or seeping. I guess my question is can fiberglass tanks get porous and im smelling through the tanks and can't see it or am I trippin and it always smells for a few days after starting. Its been 4 days since I started it and the garage smells alot every morning when I leave for work. Any response would be grateful. Do I need to cut the tanks out and put in aluminum or is it the carb and new fuel and that's just where I smell it the worst. I dont want to take it out and have a tank leak or worse.  The carpet is dry and I pulled the carpet back and the tank itself is dry also. Thanks again. Very curious about this as I was reading. Then got to the bottom and saw it is a 454 and I was like THERE'S THE PROBLEM. LOL jk

Boat ran good? Checked the oil to see if you are dumping fuel for some reason? That's kinda strange if you never noticed that before.

Oil level was and is perfect. I have no idea. I'm just going to take it out Sunday and see if it goes away after a day on the water. Maybe it is just fuel in the carb like J2 said.  Thank for the answers.
