Just got word that one of my friends and drag boat competitor passed away yesterday. Dave Stanley drove the s/e boat bottle fed, He was one of the nicest drag boat racers I've ever known and one hell of a sportsman.
The last conversations I had with him was at world finals. All the California guys went out first round. " well, we're out. Your out? What the hell happened to us "?

Thanks Jake! That means a lot. He was an amazing man/father/grand father/ and most important husband to his wife for 49 years!
