WELL I BLEW A HEAD GASKET THE DAY OF MY HAVASU TRIP  :banghead: :mad:, SO SHE STAYED HOME :'(. NOW THIS LEAVES ME WITH A QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU.....REBUILD OLDS (WHAT ARE SOME GOOD UPGRADES TO THINK ABOUT WHILE APART), OR REPLACE WITH A BBC OR BBF?? DUNNO AT THIS POINT WHICH WAY TO GO :-\

if its just a head gasket, thats a no brainer.   you could clean up the olds and make a few changes (for the better) and still be ahead.

Head gaskets are no biggie I'll help to my fullest potential as u already know lol and i know a few tricks

If you're gonna do a complete rebuild...there are a few things you really should do...if they've not already be done to the bottom-end / oiling. THe Olds guys here can enlighten. ??? Well worth the minor machining & cost.

How did you lose a head gasket? In the water? Trailer?
