Post by: 88CARRERA on March 21, 2012, 11:04:39 AM
Ok so what if I buy a boat or motorcycle and the only paper work is----

title holder sale to person who bought it
then, was sold 2 more times without ever transfering title, or registering?
Thanks for the help!

Its best to do a lean sale. I use a lady for that and it runs about $65 for her service plus dmv fees

Actual Ca. title? In Ca, keep it the shortest trail you can... From original title holder to 2nd owner to you. and use AAA if ya got it, if not, get it...they usualy go smoother there.

Trailer MAY have to be inspected, being an az title. If its perm plates, Id leave it for now and just get the boat done.
Lein sale is a PITA, and is a last resort, My $.02

All my junk has went the other way, from ca. to az. reg/titles ($650+ for a Crew cab dually to $40 for 2 years)
