Post by: keithwidney on September 10, 2014, 10:56:40 PM
Today the world lost another great person to cancer .Dave was part of the lost lake family .I grew up  listing to this guy talk horsepower . Watching him do passes in his Cole flatty and his california performance .i idolized him .I dreamed  of the day that I could have him build the motor for my boat.that dream has now passed.dave was a great man .He would do anything to help out another person.i makes me sad and angry that someone like him has to lose the battle with cancer, and on the other end one of the most evil people I have ever met gets to still walk this earth after beating cancer.i lost and confused .RIP Dave you will be missed greatly

Why do I know that name?  I feel like I totally either heard that name mentioned many times before, or I somehow know him. Rest peacefully fellow boater.

I was thinking the same thing.  He looks familiar and I've heard the name... I was thinking I had raced with him or been at the track when he was racing.

RIP racer.

Dave used to race a number 47 blue spec truck at orange show  speedway and irwindale. Never really raced boats , but had some big hp machines.

Dave was one of my best friends. I grew up going to Saugus Speedway and watching him race street stock, then grand american modified's. I remember seeing the flat before it went to Lost Lake in his shop in Van Nuys. He actually helped build the motor that is in my flat right now and 100% the reason I bought a place at Lost Lake. He has left a hole in my life that can't be filled. My eyes have leaked a lot over this deal. Nice pics of our friend Keith!
