Thought this would be a good place to ask for build advice and ideas

Yes I know, I’m waiting for this weekend to post more pictures. I got a 1982 Haskell 17 ft w/ 350 sbc and a panther jet. I just replaced the carburetor with a Holley 570, new hei distributor, and new spark plugs. I wanna put on a better intake manifold, mine I believe is the edlebrock toker (can’t remember off the top of my head) but I heard that’s better for stretching out the rpms and not for down low. Also new exhaust but I don’t know what is best for it.

You don't want or need low-end torque.  It takes nothing to spin that pump below 4000 RPM.

Well not much matters right now because my motor is shot so I’m gonna have to rebuild it. Anyone know how much hp panther jets can handle?

I found this for ya...
A good read on the panther pumps.

With the Mighty SBC, build as much horsepower as you can afford.
Or keep is simple by building a ZZ4 or similar.

That is an interesting read, I’ll clean it up when I rebuild my sbc. I was gonna stroke it out to a 383. The panther should handle it and if it blows, I’ll swap with a Berkeley or a Dominator
