SoCal Jet Boats

Well, I left home (Fresno) this morning and traveled to Valley Springs (near New Hogan Reservoir) to pick up a new/used interior for my Sanger cruiser from SangerFan76 on the PB forum--wow, you should see the stable of Sangers he has and workshop at his place, and then drove to Oakdale to pick up a jet pump for #2 son (ap67 on PB forum) from BAE (on the PB and Banderlog forums) that pushed William's boat to 150+ mph, and back home for dinner. Fun trip, but the interesting part happened when I was going through Merced. My truck swerved off the 99 and raced this white chevy to the McDonalds drive through lane which already had 4 or 5 cars waiting. Humbled by the loss, I hung my head in shame, but when I finally looked up, what do I see in the chevy's back window--a socal boat decal. So, I climbed out of my truck and met Nathan72 for the first time. What do you think are the odds of such a chance meeting? Well the line started moving so I got back into my truck, and when I got to the first window, the lady said, "Do you know that guy? He already paid for your breakfast." Heck, if I'd known it was free, I would have ordered lunch too. Seriously, it was good meeting you, Nathan, and thanks for the breakfast.
