Roadrunner on the River....Closed???? ??? >:( :-\
-
new news to me. It was open fathers day weekend.
-
this is what i have gathered from the long winded threads on the other sites...
it was upside down bad and the owner owed a ton of money to people
it went up for auction on tuesday
the guy who bought it is a well known local business man
he closed the doors as of tonight and might reopen it next spring for the summer crowd....i assume he would lose money during the bluehair season.
on a side note.....the sundance is FOR SALE for a small cost of 4.5 million bucks. marc, coors heavy, chromey and i were all pondering the idea of going in as partners on it and bring it back to life...makin it a official SCJB hangout ;D ....ya right - we own jetboats so you know we cant afford that shit lol
-
Are you implying that we own, build & repair jet boats because we can't afford anything else?...
That's what I thought ;D

My sisters boyfriends family were going to buy it. They instead bought another bar in Sunset Beach. I wouldve been park maintenance for sure if they wouldve picked it up.

From what I've read (not that I believe everything on the net), it went up for auction & got no bids. Original lein holder now has it back, but is anxious to get rid of it. Supposedly it's only gonna be closed for 2 weeks to 1 month. Here's hoping that the RR survives.
Many memories of The Sundance..............canned beer served upside down seems to come to mind!!! With the BUI penalties now, I'm not sure I'd take the chances I used to before.................I'm sure the local authorities could literally cherry pick from there from about 11 PM on...... :sly:
