Hey guys,
Found a 1979 Rowdie Sandollar for sale in my area, 350 olds rocket with jacuzzi / piranha, new interior. Needs paint. Asking $2800 CAD which is almost $2000 USD, but I can't find any info on these boats. Can someone help me out? Pics attached below :D

Finding info on Rowdy Manufacturing was a difficult chore for me too. I bought one in 2011. But I learned a few things...
They were originally based in Anaheim, Ca until moving to Oregon and changed their name to Glide Boat Works. It was founded by a guy named Richard 'Rowdy' Smith who I believe is now deceased and the company disbanded.
Mine has the AMC 360 Panther combo and I got some info on the build quality from a guy named Steve who operated Panther Jets for many years. They are hand laid boats of good quality. I pretty much did a full restoration and saw first hand how solid they are.
They handle very well, like a 17 foot jet ski. Not the kind of boat that will ever be a speed demon but very fun to drive. We prefer jumping wakeboard boat wakes anyway... These little Sandollars like to be airborn.
I did not know Rowdy built any boats with an Olds or a Jacuzzi, but I don't see why not. I do know they were generally Panther Jet units. Every one I have seen (which is only 5-6) has a panther except yours. But there is nothing wrong with that 350 Olds. A guy I see at the lake has a 68 Apollo Craft (another rare boat) with a 350 olds and it runs very well. No oil issues like the 455 Olds.
If you have any other questions let me know... be happy to help.

Another thing... unless that boat has paint now, or you don't like the gel coat color, you can buff that hull out. Mine has the original gel with many scratches and battle scars. The gel coat is think. REAL thick. And I have spent hours polishing it out over the years, and a good deal of that learning how.
I wonder if that one has the original windshield??? I think they were all forward facing like the one on mine from the manufacturer.
There is a pic of that Apollo Craft with the 350 Olds below...

Expect it to be a 55-60MPH boat.
A couple more for you...

Hi guys, newbie here. Not to highjack this thread but I'm.also looking at buying and finishing this boat. The haul and stringers look in really good shape any other pointers before I buy it?
Thanks in advanced

Only advice is to be prepared to spend some more money and keep us posted on the progress. Enjoy...
