Vent placement
« on: May 06, 2015, 02:12:30 PM »
I just closed the engine compartment and need to put some vents on. I am trying to decide on whether to put 2 of the small or large vents and handles on. I don’t have a lot of room to work with but also want to make sure i have enough air flow (454 BBC stock Hardin motor).

Any pics of your vents would be greatly appreciated or advice. Thanks again.

Mine are on the sides facing forward. The carb scoop is backwards on hatch an is the exit flow. One side is hooked up to fan an the other open.  If you think the day might come to go back to over trans exhaust/open engine... put em in the cover.

Not sure if you're interested but these are off my old engine cover that I removed + a blower, I want to get rid of them

I have a pair of those off the original set up. I figured the vent would look a little better. Thanks for offering.

Ok ready to drill some hole but the vents I bought are only flush in one spot. Should I just go with the old school vents like the one above. Any ideas would be awesome.
