About two weeks before memorial, he needed a log because he had a hole in his. I said he could borrow one of mine, but I need it back. Well two weeks go by, and I've been leaving PM's, voice mails, and text messages trying to get ahold of him. He answered once, and said he would have the log tomorrow, which was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Anyways I'm trying to get MY boat on the water, and I don't have the log to finish it and I don't have enough money to buy another set. If ANYONE has a spare log that they are willing to part with for cheap, I would appreciate it. I guess this is what I get for trying to help a fellow boater out  :banghead:

I dont know everything that is going on, but from what i can tell(from a onesided story) this is the kind of crap that makes people not want to help others out. If people just get screwed everytime they help someone out why would they continue?

Man up and at the very least call PW back! you seemed to be enjoying your boat on the river, let the guy do the same with his boat!

now i dont know shit about this, but i think he works for the rail road and could be far away from any phone reception.

lets not hang him until we get his side of the story ;)

just my .02      carry on

Went by the railroad company on the way home from work today. My brother works for the same company. I went through the parking lots looking for either of his two vehicles that I know of, and hadn't seen either. I'm not one to bash at all, especially on the internet. But I did a favor and was guaranteed when I would get this part back. I've been holding out from doing this for a long time.

I would hold nothing against him if he gave me a call or PM, and just let me have the log back, that's all I ask.

WHen he had picked up the phone, I had called from a friend's restricted number, so he wouldn't see my number, and he picked up. And the day after there is no pick up, or return of voice mails for 3 weeks straight, after leaving messages everyday.

I would completely understand if there was something going on, family, emergency's. I just want to be kept in the loop. He said that he had lost his phone, and that very well may be the case. So I want to give every chance possible to just give back my part so I can get my boat together, nothing personal as of right now. And as soon as he sees this he's probably going to take it personal, but that's not the case at all, I just need my log

Title: Re: Ryan Brindle
Post by: pw_Tony on June 16, 2008, 11:14:04 PM
Why does this need to be so difficult Ryan?  :screwy:

ALL I want is my log back. Are you really saving that much money by not buying another set and just taking mine? It's not about the money to me, it's about the principle. I helped a fellow boater out, and now being screwed out of my parts, makes me want to help out others alot less, which I've helped several on this forum.

Earlier today my brother had called from his phone for Ryan, and left a message with his number. Ryan called back, but as soon as my brother started stating his business (which it is his business as well) Ryan decided to start spouting off and hang up, no call back after a couple more attemps.

But PLEASE just knock this crap out and just give me back my log, and no more of this BS and you won't have to hear from me again,

Oh much more. This whole situation is just ridiculous.... all over a log. Already contacted my company lawyer, and he reassured if I wanted to do something he would be losing alot more than just the price of logs, but, I won't be doing that.... a log's not worth it to me..... maybe small claims just to be irratating  :screwy:

Edited, shouldn't say it in public
i hate to say it tony, but i think you got burned >:(

That's what I've been thinking the last month

Your so right . I recently had a tire looked at on a trailer that I sold . Kid looked at it and worked on it and after he was done I asked the owner how much it was gonna be for the repair . He says "To repair a flat it's $15 but since the boy did all the work on his lunch break , why dont you just tip him like $10 or so."

I didnt have cash so I told the kid I was gonna go down the street to get some cash . I got cash and came back to pay him , shook his hand and thanked him . The owner says to me " I was just telling the boy you werent gonna come back ! You know you just cant trust people these days !" I agreed with him and told thats why I always make it a point to repay people when they do me a favor .
