Title: SCJB EXPRESS !
Post by: beerjet on January 23, 2009, 02:27:04 PM
I got some headers that need to go from the IE to the Ventura area to DOZZR (john).
Let me know if anyone can do it and where you'd like to meet up for a swp and payment.

The reason I am asking is that I need to go to our Oxnard location next week for a little training session, so if we figure a way to finagle this it may just work ;D

I'm not getting it, Omar, what's the cost to ship the MOFO headers and why do we need 12 people involved in it?, lol. Does this sound union to anyone? I'm all for saving a buck, and if this works out and we end up with our own SCJB transfer service, then I'm down with that.

Love ya like a brother, but I'm not getting it I guess.

Hey Ray, just one little bit of info for ya. Retreads have been around for a looonnggg time.  One thing  that is big for the going  green people is the fact that it takes 22 gallons of oil to make one truck tire, whereas it only takes 7 gallons of oil to make 1 retread.  :sly:  you have now been schooled ;D ;D ;D

No, I get it Glenn, Bought many a retread in my day. Didn't think anyone did it anymore, for one, and didn't expect the subject to show up in one of Beerjet's threads for christs sake.

Anyway, all for it if they're still doing it, my understanding was those guys were all shut down, the recappers, that is.

Ray the only reason it pooped up on Omars thread is because I was asked where I worked, and Crewchief happened to know people and does business with the company I work for ( SMALL WORLD)  As for retreading it is a BIG business world wide. It is a cutthroat deal here in the states, especially with all the chinese CRAP that has been coming in ;D ;D ;D

No, No No, And I get THAT, just seemed the thread started because Omar was too cheap to pay UPS, LMAO. Which, And I love the guy like a brother, I find HILARIOUS. lol

Whats it cost to ship 50 lbs through anybody .
I would be more than happy to pick something up from anybody on my way to anywhere.
I'm here to help out in any way I can and I'm sure others are too so we put out the APB sometimes in case folks are tryin to get chit from one place to another.
jet boaters pinchin pennies where ever we can .

Now if My "paisa" 82daytona can ship chit for $50  :-\ I'd get him a hooker while he's here  :-*  >:D
assumingthats what he charges an hour.

its about saving a buck and helping out.
when tom bought a pump down here somebody dropped it off with me. i went to pick up a motor at his shop so i delivered his pump. when i was picking up the motor i picked up 76bonniville's pump and brought it to brad and he got it to ron. probably saved 500.00 in shipping on that one ;)

just for the record i shipped a set of headers up north for around 50 bucks

50 bucks is a couple hours of fuel on the river/lake,  save money wherever you can and whenever you can ;D

A good friend of mine just moved back to Cali from Maui, she goes back to visit on a pretty regular basis, let me know if you need something and if she's going over anytime soon, I'll have her tote it along.

I sold headers multi dozens ( new and used  last year ) , the average cost is around 50 bucks in the conti US  thew big pain in the Butt is the packaging and then the shipping dogs still beat the up Rake on average about a 1/2 to 3/4 hour ,an a$$ load of bubble wrap and card board and "ED-Zachary" the right box !!  Tom

(Rhonda swears the whole time shes packaging the headers)  ;)
