X2 I would NOT run a V10 in a boat. I used to work for ford and those came in all the time with spark plugs blown out the the heads. Second of all they are only a 6.8 liter. A stock big block chevy is 7.4 and a ford 460 is a 7.5. You would have to install the computer, ALL of the wiring, 02 sensors, and the rest of the crap, not to mention an indicator assy like they have in the truck, because aftermarket gauges are not compatible with the stock voltages the dash uses. If you had a problem with the engine youd have to plug a computer into it to see what the issue was, plus ud have to run a custom fuel injection setup. I would run a 5.4 V8 if you were gonna run anything because I have seen some intake manifolds for those that accept a carb. They also don't like being reved too high. im not bad mouthing the V10 because it was a descent motor in a truck or van, and I have wondered the same thinng myself, I just think it wouldn't be worth the work.
