Good morning from St Maarten.
The island is beautiful and the beer is cheap. But that's about all that's cheap.

i was there early 2012. it was very open....at least the one i was at. cant remember the name of beach.

Sunset beach is where the planes land and take off and it is still open. But they put rocks all over and there is really no beach anymore. But people were still over there.

Oh wow....really I'd no beach left....that was all sand when I was there. water still looks great tho.
Enjoy your stay!
(If you didn't know, and if you're a fan, there's a star wars museum on the island. Owned/operated by the guy who created Yoda. cool stuff there...Not too pricey, worth it if you're a fan)

We saw the museum. Not a fan. But it's still cool. The bar tender at sunsets bar said the sand will come back in a month or too guess it goes on vacation too. lol

lol, yeah i was gonna mention that too....hurricanes/ocean currents tend to shuffle stuff around. we were there in feb....or march of 2012. plenty of sand....still, a steep beach and not a lot of distance from road to water. water got deep quick too. fun times, enjoy!

That's a shame... Always loved the st. Martin pics. Hope someday I get to fly into there.
