I like to put mine away completely serviced.
Change oil & filter.
Change Procharger oil.
I drain my fuel, pull carb and drain it too.
Drain & purge my methanol/water injection.
Change fuel filter.
Don't have drain plugs in my block, but thinking about it since my engine is on a stand sitting in my garage right now. Should get to the river one more time, maybe next weekend.
Trickle charge the battery once a month or so.

Like you stated no real freezing issues here in So Cal.

Install drain plugs if don't have them.  I always drain water out of block no matter what.

I don't think I have a petcock to drain the block.  Guessing there are plugs in the cooling passages that would allow for draining the block?  Where would those be on a BBC?


As to J2's suggestions, regarding draining the fuel tank & carb & changing the filter, would you put some kind of preservative or solution/solvent in the tanks, or just leave them dry?


The engine oil only has about 4 hours of run time on it…..change out regardless?

I leave my fuel tank dry. For me I see the slow evaporation of the fuel especially out of the carb leave a residue inside.

Changing my oil is to leave it sitting clean, if I only had 4 hours on it I'd leave it.
