I was there Sunday as well.... second time out on my boat. The lake had alot of debris because the lake was over filled..... I don't know if you notice but there was no beaches...I don't know what they were thinking having the water level that high on a memorial weekend..... I also had to leave early cuz my forward and reverse cable broke... it was definitely a shi*** day at silver wood.. but yeah it was dirty because all the tree debris that people move and put on the beaches floated out with the water level so high. Sorry you had a bad experience first time to silverwood

Learned to ski on Silverwood in '77, went many weekends in the summers, moved away from the high desert in 93 to Havasu, and havent been back since. Water levels are usually high in the spring/summer (socal water source). Never had debris in the pump tho. A reverse cable is no reason to go home, a lot of v-drives ans PWCs dont have reverse. The beaches are few and far between and the wait to get in is a bitch too. (wait 4 hrs??? f'n nuts " I'll drive to the river")

Besides the breaking cable... previous owner of the boat installed a wedge with thick side up and reused the gaskets. So the gasket completely blew out and i looked like a jet ski with water shooting up in three different spots on the pump. The exhaust I'm sure is getting way to much water at idle.. steam and water just puke out the headers. Just to many problems at once made me decide to go home. And high water levels just did not make fun.

Been going to that lake for the past 5 years. I've never experienced any problems like that. Any way to know when the water level will be high to avoid those days? What other lakes do you guys recommend?  So Cal lakes. I wonder if the debris will still be bad by this weekend. I was planning on going this saturday.

Anybody been out to Silverwood since this post about all the debris in the water? I was thinking about going out there on friday but dont really want to deal with stuff floating all over the place. Also any other advice would be appreciated.

I was there about 3 weeks ago . Absolutely will not got back. Super grassy. Over populated . A lot of stuff in water. Beaches are full of trash and ants . Bad experience for me.

I was out three weeks ago as well on a weekday. You have to watch what's in the water on the side of the lake farthest from the 138.

Almost any beach has diapers and beer bottles and makes you want to GTFO of CA.

Will I go again? Sure. Only on a weekday.

Speaking of which, I'll be at Silverwood between 7-8 a.m.-1-4 p.m.

I'm either wakeboarding, napping, fishing, drinkin a CL or trying to blow up a big block.
