Hey All,
New guy here. I've been reading up on some posts and this looks like a great place to start my new adventure with my family, jet boats! We have already done the classic restoration thing (back in my 20's, won't do that again), desert motorsports, and now I'm ready to be that old, fat, tan guy with a bad ass boat the kids can brag about...the boat, brag about the boat, not fat tan dad, lol
It's great to see there is a healthy mix of extremes here, just like any other mechanical thing that spins & whirls...man will always be fascinated and have some better idea than the other guy (I tend to go with the longevity wins crowd).
I look forward to reading up on this new venture of mine and conquering another platform that holds an engine!
Oh yeah, so I have about $8k (and a nice 4 seat off-road car if someone is looking for a trade, $10k value)...I was thinking Eliminator for the platform, Berkley for the pump, and would like to stay with a Chevy power plant...I don't mind sweat equity, but I am 45, not 25 and my days on the water are more valuable than in the shop anymore.
See ya in the funny pages,
Chris, Oceanside, CA

And good luck with the search.

Welcome to SCJB ;D
You shouldn't have any problems finding something worthy in your price range.
Are you looking for more of a hot rod type 18-19', headers, tunnel ram... or more of a cruiser 20-21', covered engine???
-
Welcome Chris hopefully you're looking for the 18-19ft OT tunnel ram loud and proud group. Or sometimes known as the mid-life crisis group!!!!

Thanks for the wet welcome!
Well Jet Boat Maloney, I blew my midlife on my 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide back in Sep...save me money on fuel though, so I have a little to spend in here, ha!
I am feeling the crusier, covered engine type...one deal, I have to have a place for my sun bunnies to lay out, which of course I don't mind.
Here's the rail...San Felipe, 2012 Pete's Camp Poker Run, Pismo Beach 2013, kids got me to blow a little coin on the lighted whip, I must say, I like it....
