My work will be based in and around Charlotte and the Lake Norman area. We will be looking at homes in Huntersville.
I had to drive damn near 100 miles to Greensboro for my interview.

I've been contemplating this for a while, pros out weighing the cons by far. However, this job depends on my performance 100%... It can be a pay increase two fold or put me down, sending me on my way back home licking wounds. I got this, though I can see the path I can take hold of. I'm going to make it happen and make it to the top, otherwise just stay here at the mediocre plateau that I've become discontent with.

Nice thread jack, HD. I'll say again, that is one clean root beer float that you own. Thanks for the positive PM.
Though I should've been boxing shit up and shopping for a cargo trailer, I got side tracked when the neighbor kid across the street from me got some tools out and finally got a hair up his ass about the warming weather and his boat that needs work. Helped him cut and glass in new stringers. The boat was originally built with a nasty hook on the right side, got it jacked up and stressed the hull to be correct and we got after it!
I'll be around to assist with the floor and glassing in the top side of the new stringers tomorrow, Unfortunately I'll be gone for the rest of the build. He's a sharp, young gun and I'm sure he'll get it done. Told him about the site here and to lean on it if he needs some guidance.

north carolina is great. my dad sold everything in CA and built a new home on the river in new burn NC for a fraction and retired on the rest.

Neuse or Trent River? That's a bad ass spread he's got there. I really wish we had more spare change to back up what we'd like to purchase there, but we don't so we're shopping for a new or near new home within 2-3 miles of a Lake Norman launch ramp.

Stopped by Walter White's house of breaking bad in Albuquerque.

Spending the night in Amarillo in a bad ass suite cause the wind got gnarly and all the cheap ones were booked.

Good trip so far. Trailer is heavy and the front tires come off the ground on lumpy pavementso the trailer brakes get squeezed a lot but have gotten 13mpg Thanks to major tail wind from Albuquerque to Amarillo.. And I mean racing tumble weeds.

I'm halfway through, abiding by law so I don't meet Texas' finest. First sign I saw at the state line was. "Don't mess with Texas $2000 fine for littering"
Just a few hundred feet before that in NM was $300 fine.
I've heard horror stories of CA plated vehicles getting screwed over really small things.

Do the speed limit in Texas.
Once you cross the state line, don't stop til you get to NC.
Especially if you got a "purdy mouth". ;D
