i always keep it greasy, you never know when you might want to use it and i hate it when it makes too much noise.

i am not uncomfortable yet but i am next in line with the greasy hitch .... ...just kiddin i always take mine out it is 14 inch drop and it is like a hit of crack .. if it is bolted down they will take it... sorry to here it spoiled your plans. :o
