so my buddy pics up a 97 commander 21 jet. marine power bbc, dominator pump, place diverter. this thing looks like it came off the show room floor. it runs a solid 50-53 mph. whats it gonna take to get it in the 60's?? thanks

Tell us a little more about it?  any idea how many hours are on it?  What impeller?  What RPMs does it turn WOT?  Does it have a droop?  Ride plate?

yes a ride plate, 5200 rpms, no droop

my buddy has about the same boat. comander but with a berk je and diverter. it had a marine power 454 and did mid 50's and now he just dropped in a 550 horse bbc in it and is running 65 with a loose pump
