Today I lost my best friend of 14 years........and it fukin hurts, I got him as a puppy when I was 10. Wife called me this afternoon at 250 to tell me my dog had died and was laid out in the back yard. I knew today was too easy. And Now after returning from the vetI'm 6 beers into the hour and kicking back in the boat waiting for this weekend

That sucks.. I know the feeling. Lost my dog of 14 yrs about 3 yrs ago and miss her every day! Best dog a kid could ask for growing up! Shed follow me EVERYWHERE! Sorry for your loss

sorry to hear that man, my dog might not make it to long. Damn chihuahua terrier mix has been kickin' for almost 17yrs. Not looking forward to losing him.

Oh man... I have been jut waiting for my "little one" to take the journey... Can't even imagine the hurt you feel right now bro..

I have a 13 year old Yellow lab and she is moving pretty slow, sometimes can't get by herself and as deaf as a rock.

Have another beer my man... That one will hurt for a while.

Flat sucks. We've got two, one is starting to slow down....as much as I'm tired of the dog hair, I'm not quite sure how I'll deal with it the morning she's not there pawing at my face to wake me up for work. Hang in there...

As bad is this may sound, at least he went when it was his time and not before. I had to put mine down and it was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. Regardless, I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear it man. I'm 63 years old and I still think about the loss of my Boxer that I grew up with.
I was sixteen years old and so was he when he passed. Yes it will always hurt. Cherish the memories.

One if mine is almost 13 and I've had her since she was 6 weeks. She still tries to hang with out younger dog, but this year she's really seemed to slow down and is showing some of her age.

Sorry to hear that man. I am headed for that same boat you are in. I have a nine year old boxer that is quickly losing the feeling and use of his rear legs. Ive always said, its just an animal, but I know when my boy goes its going to kill me inside. Stay strong, and remember the good times.

Sorry to here that bro you pup is in a better place now.I had to put mine down last year she was 13 years old I got her one day she walked up to my garage door some asshole shoot her in the hip with a 22.She got bone cancer and what really tops it is my wife ordered meds for her to make the cancer go away three months before we put her down. The day we put her down the meds came. Stay cool bro and always remember the good time u had together.

Thanks guys, it really is hard and they are family. That dog slept at the foot of my bed and on my bed his entire life. He went just about everywhere with me and was always by my side. But in the last 8 months he really started slowing down and the last 3 it really hit him hard. I was suppose to bring him in to be out down this morning and had been preparing for it for the last week and when my wife called me yesterday I thought it was a fuked up joke because she straight up said "Sonnys dead in the back yard". And as soon as I got home and saw him it hit hard. But he's not in pain anymore, he's running around again and happy and I know it. He was the perfect dog.

Sorry for your loss Bro. Been there, had to put my Dobie and Lab that I grew up with down few years ago. Sucks big time. Named my current Dobie after my first to honor him. Take care and know he will always live in your heart.
