Ford in a ford is the value.... Chevy in a ford is a chevy person like yourself wanting the value of a ford but needs to feel somehow still a dedicated chevy fan by killing the value with a sbc or any chevy....Most have a 9" btw. They also didnt take the handout

You got me on the government handout. I'm not really a Chevy guy I'm just defiantly not a Ford guy. Growing up in the towing and garage business 60% of everything we towed in or worked on were Ford products (that's being conservative) and the other 40% was every other manufacture, it was actually comical but not for the owners of course. Every body will always have there own opinions from here to eternity but for me this is what I know and personally for me I would own anything but a Ford but that's just me. I'm on my 3rd Dodge cummins in 13 years because I put a shit pot of miles on my trucks and not one of them have ever been towed in or have had any type of break down for me that's piece of mind... Not really a Dodge guy either but I am a Cummins guy. Look at it this way if we all agreed on everything damn are meets would be boring at least we can all agree on one thing no mater what there powered by we all love to be on the water in our boats.

So basically good or bad on how you feel about fords.... If you didn't have the work, you might not be in business.

I've been turning wrenches 35 years, trust me they all build junk and they all build good vehicles it just depends on model and year.

This sb chevy in this 32 was built in 1991 and was in a chopped 48 ford pu truck. that was a daily driver for about 10 years it drove 108 miles each day.then was parked in 2001.then we built this 32 in 2012 and yanked it out of the 48 and put it right in the 32 and has been on the road for two years no problems ever.

This Vicky here was built in the late ninety s by a die hard ford guy who by the way must have wanted it to lose value because he put a p.o.s vett rear end in it. Any ways it has a bad boy 351c with all the bad boy detomaso stuff it only had a few thousand miles on it and was parked in 2004 because the ford guy that build it did a crap job wiring it and the dash burned up. So it was brought to my dad to be rewired and put back on the road. So now it's rewired and now is ready to fire but it has zero oil pressure.so I guess fords are great but you just can't let them sit as long as a chevy lol this one will most likely get a sb in it to

I wanted to stuff a c/6 460 combo in my Chevelle and after seeing the amount of work needed, not to mention beating the trans hump to fit the c6 I decided to but my current th400 468 combo and I don't regret it one bit

I'm not a ford or chevy guy.I'm a air cooled vw guy but when it comes to cost chevy sb takes it hands down.my boat has a 460 ford and I'm happy as hell with it but you can bet when its to tired to run any more i will be putting a chevy back in it just for the cost factor of parts.I say put what ever you want in what you want for me it's just cheap and easy to build a rod with sb chevy and a turbo trans. To each his own!
