Took my daughter down to the Mission at San Juan Capistrano. She will be starting 4th grade soon and missions are part of the California history she will be learning.
I think they should teach about the history of California boat builders ;D

Just got back from Mexico. Went to pick up the Suburban and it wasn't ready when I got there. He said 2 hours and we came back in 3 (Mexican time and all ;D) He wasn't at the shop nor was my truck. Waited until 9:30pm (about 2 more hours)and he drove up in the truck. He went to try and deliver it to my friends house. So by this time since it was a 3 hr drive to the border plus 1-3 hrs at the border I decided to accept an invitation to a family reunion. It was a blast being the only white guy in a tiny town party. Put away quite a few tecate's and a six of negra modelo, ate authentic barbacoa (cooked underground) watched some rodeo style horse dancing, and did I mention drank a lot of beer >:D So truck is finally home, I have a tow vehicle again. Now I just have to hope my engine parts come sooner than Summit is anticipating. I am really jones'in for some water contact.

I declined the offer to ride the white horse for that exact reason :P Ok, it was actually because I watched the owner dancing the animal on it's hind legs, jumping and such when it stumbled and almost fell into the crowd. My horse riding skills are very beginner, kinda like my bow surfing skills ;D
