South TX boy new to the Colorado River Scene.
« on: April 04, 2022, 09:14:25 AM »
Que Pa So? Just moved Henderson NV last fall from TX and the in laws live in Havasu so we will be spending quite a bit down there. My 76 Ceebee Avenger bubble deck needs an entire rebuild stringers, transom, floor, etc, and I just bought back my late brothers 77 Ceebee Avenger 171 model that needs a stringer replaced. Both Avengers are back in TX so I recently purchased a 77 Charger 19 mini day cruiser in AZ fairly cheap minus a motor. The previous owner of the Charger said the 350 in it was blown, when I went to go look at it I discovered it was setup for a 350 olds and I just so happen to have a freshly rebuilt 455 Sloldsmobile ready to drop in something so I impulsively bought the charger so I had a boat for out here in the SW. This charger will be a budget build I just slap together to get on the water. Im not an olds guy personally but thats what my pops got rid of when he gave my brother and I the Ceebee Avengers. Just found a 10QT Milodon oilpan for 300 bucks on ebay, and robbed the offy tunnel and carbs off of my 77 Avenger (bc that baby is getting a chevy after new stringer) and bout ready to paint and slap motor in the mini day. Cant decide if I wanna polish the Hardin Marine water logs or spend the 1500 plus on bassett transom headers. I got an extra Offenhauser polished single carb tunnel for an olds 455 and an extra set of over the top headers for the olds that im not going to use on any boat if anyone is looking for extra olds parts got some laying around. Hope to meet some of yall on the water soon.

Throw one together and bring it out to Parker this weekend for the opener. Between me and my dad we have 4 boats, you can never have enough.
