Title: Start off to be a bad weekend
Post by: bkplesh on March 31, 2007, 08:13:51 AM
First I went outside, to the trailer and both batterys were died. I find out that the charging system is fired. So now that has to go to the trailer place. Shot the camping trip down. Then went to the boat. And it wouldn't start, oh great. More battery problems. the battery are on a tricky charger. Come it find out, no water in the battery's and one led is off.

That's pretty minor stuff really.Coulda been worse, YOu could have woken up one morning and found out that your engine turned into a FORD!! Battery problems are a pain in the arse but not that costly.

Sounds like my house, howd you know.

Sounds like you have something shorted on both. Look around, it might be real evident and easy to fix. Follow the wires from one end to the other. Look for chaffing.

check the inverter fuse on the trailer. my motorhome did the same thing and theres a 40 amp fuse between the inverter and the batteries that was corroded. all it ended up costing me was a couple of buckes for the fuses and a lot more for the beer!! O0

I'm really good at finding electrical problems. Sounds like your trailer and/or boat needs a current draw test to find out how much current is being drawn from the battery when it's sitting there not doing anything. AND I'm in El Cajon also. Rod 619-787-7987
