Title: tapping 1/2" NPT threads

i have water inlets that are too small, i need to tap them to fit my 1/2" npt to AN fittings.  ive found a few 1/2" -14 taps but they look REALLY small in comparison to this elbow fitting i have.  any suggestions?

Dude, bring them by. 

1/2 pipe is not the thread size, it's the thread that is used on 1/2" ID pipe.  I've got the tap to do 'em.  Bring beer.  Guiness.
