Big, Little, Regrets?
Just kind of curious...I really enjoy looking at skin artwork....
-
wheres the SCJB loyalty and dedication around here? No SCJB Tattoo's yet to be heard of...lol
-
Most people over 60 (and so have had the ink for a long time) that I have talked to, express regret over at least some of it. Most things go out of style and many things that people think look good when they are 18-25 have a way of becoming a reminder of poor judgement decades later. Just like Harley's, tattoos have become so popular, that now something that used to be a sign of rebellion and manhood, has become so mainstream that now it even seems pass`e.
Thank God you didn't ask about body piercing! Then I would have really had to go on a rant!

How can there be loyalty when our fearless leader doesnt even have a scjb tat...i told ya when you came and visited me at the tat shop...you of all people can for sure have a scjb tat and that is a part of you my friend....gc i can agree with you for sure...i myself have a couple that i will never regret because of parts of my life, but some people would say wtf....but my back has a large piece that is my family crest...something i will cherish forever...unless i really was the mailmans kid
-
I got one ...not scjb though  problem is ...thong don't cover it :banghead:

-
Drank like a bakers dozen already...waiting for my chick to come over with more if i dont fall asleep first...is it a potrait of steven tyler...if so where are his tattooed lips located? Or do i want to know?
-
I have one and I too will never regret it takes up a good bit of my shoulder/back and is a tribute to my late grandparents who I was extremely close to.
-
I am going on 43 and still working on more....I have my neck, back and left arm done. Some guy said to me once that owning toys or getting tattoo's was a waste of money. I replied to him...buying that ring for his now wife was a waste of money. We are who we want to be.....I am glad that I will never wear a suit as it represents a CROOK, LIAR, REALTOR AND POLITICIAN.
-
Why cover up this perfectly good white skin? :screwy:

^ yes thats my view on tattoo's if it doesn't mean something then it doesn't need to be done.
-
I only got three but like 7 sessions...took this whole year off due to funds! Probably my favorite is my v8 tattoo then my family crest

shitty pic, i will see if i have a better one. hand drawn with no stencil only tracing was to copy the two skulls on the sides to make them symetrical (sp) and all fill in was determined while tat was being done. I will get some of the other ones.
-
I have my chest and both arms done now and started one leg
-
.....same reason my boat is 888, not 88.....
It was going to be 88 until someone pointed out that its a racial reference in the prison system. H is the 8th letter of the alphabet....so 88 = HH = "Heil Hitler" ...so thats why you will see some guys with an 88 tattoo in the prisons.
it wouldnt have gone over so well with an all white boat either.

symbology eh? try having the last name Powers and getting it tattooed on your stomach.... yeah people look at me weird alright
My favorite is my back tattoo, it also happens to be the one everyone asks about... usually starts off "i know that poster"

I started this one on Saturday. It was supposed to be done in one sitting but I didn't get into the chair until 8 pm and he started getting tired so we decided to just do the outline and ill go back for all the shading in a week or so but here's the start and the rendering. What do you guys think?

I got the stars, one on each forearm. (my life long friend designed them, and I told them if he got it sponsored I'd put it on me, plus I really liked it anyways) He ended up getting it sponsored by no fear then being shipped off and passed away overseas, so it's a memory too. Then the daughter hand and foot print from birth. And well yeah yall can see where that goes. Looking at more, but I have a rule of I want to get the same tattoo for 3 years before I get it. Plus I need money. Haha

Funny how symbology can mess with you!!! makes me glad I never got a Shamrock for my Irish heritage (shamrock is symbol for aryan brotherhood) lol.
I was born with the name Patrick. I'll note that if I ever start gettin tatt'd up, I'll start with the Shamrock;)

Currently Getting a half sleeve in honor of my Late Grandpa who was shot down in his B17 during a bombing mission over Germany during WWII and was captured and held as a POW for a year.
Pretty amazing story! His surname was Geldermann and the Germans tried to get him to fight for them. He refused and said he'd rather be in captivity.
While doing research I found a blog online that the pilot of the planes granddaughter had started which the pilot tells the story of what happened. It was amazing to read. I left a comment on the blog and the pilot emailed me back. We've been corresponding through email the last week or so. He even sent me a picture that someone had taken who saw their plane actually crash. Freakin amazing!!!
I have about 2-3 more sessions to go on this. I've been wanting it for a very long time so I'm really excited to have it come to life.

thats pretty amazing story right there. my grandfather was in the shit at the battle of bastogne in Belgium. i got tons of cool stories out of him before he passed. one of the best is how he met my grandmother at a soldier/nurse dance in germany. they were pen pals for a long time then he moved to LA and eventually married her. .....yes pen pals....via snail mail. this was obviously before texting, email, etc. can you even fathom that? man, how technology has changed things is nuts when you put it into that kind of perspective.
-
Just designed thus one, gonna get it as soon as she's born in July [attachimg=1]
-
Looks good I need to find someone to draw my next one up since my right arm is done ts time to start on the left!!
-
Just had my 3rd session. Added the name of the plane with the pinup girl that was the nose art sitting on it. Also got his Bombardier Group emblem (eagle dropping bombs) and his Bombardier squadron (bomb with wings). Also added "Never Forgotten" in script. Next session is next Thursday. It's almost done.
-
Latest session on my half sleeve. My grandpa's purple heart and finished up the clouds and added the bombs being dropped. Probably just one session left.
