Title: The Moo Boat's first new adventure
Post by: Boatwidow on July 18, 2011, 09:16:51 AM
Here I am, after a loooonng bumpy trip on the suckish 10 freeway. I met my new admirers and am now resting comfortably in my new stable awaiting the re-assebly of my motor. They tell me you can hear the concerts at the Rose Bowl from here. I hope there are some good cow boy-bands playing.

It's not my old boat, it's Jana's new boat! But yes, one and the same.

I was gonna say, how many guys in my life can I meet that have a boat painted like a cow? But since this is the same boat, I guess it's still only one guy, since the same boat just changed hands.

I've made it pretty well known that Moo has a new home and very sweet and inquisitive owners!! The new owners do NOT need to deal with the wrath any of you have planned for ME over this little bit of confusion........Deserved or not!  ::)........

Now that I say that...........maybe I best show up at the next gathering with a boat painted like......well.....water.......Then you guys can't see me!  ;D

I know huh? Now that we've hi-jacked Don and Jana's thread all to hell about ME........

I'm so glad it went to them. I took a slight beating on it, but to be honest, no better people I'd rather it go to, save Farmergord. I think 'ol Gord feels slighted.

The reasons I bought it are the same reasons THEY bought it. Jana reminds me so much of Cindy it isn't funny. Don is so much NOT me, which means she has better taste and more wisdom........ :screwy:

I wish them the best of luck with it, and look forward to seeing it again many times on the water!

Hey Ray, go right ahead and hijack.

We are hoping to get her on the water by this weekend or maybe in the middle of next week. Probably Castaic or Pyramid. Don's got her over at Blairs Speed Shop because he didn't trust himself! LOL

I hope we do you and Cindy proud. we'll certainly try, but we are slightly (very) green since The Moo is our second boat.

Thanks again for trusting us with her,

Jana

both are decent lakes. castaic is nice but its a dry lake and elizabeth canyon gets full quick(ish). its nice because the jet skiers ccan't roam the lake so they are not stirring up the water. Pyramid is nice because it is normally not too busy. the sheriff's are not as gung ho so you can get away with a little more than ususal ( speed and lake beverages) both are within minutes of me and I will end up at one of em this sunday.

Boatwidow, that's awesome you guys brought the cow boat to our old stompin' grounds.
My buddies have been going to blairs speed shop for years. Be careful at Castaic, the man is watching you.
I've heard there are many cameras all over the lake. We had a friend get an escort off the water for 42 mph
but there may have been more to the story.  ::)    Anyways, congratulations on your new boat, have fun and post some pics.

Thanks guys,

We took our old Sleekcraft to Castaic many times. Both before and after the sheriff took over running it. Luckily for us, that said sheriff, is one of the boy scout dads in my son's troop. He's stationed at Pyramid, but is in command of both lakes. Nice to have friends!!

The only problem with Pyramid is the tendency to get that nasty green lake goo! Hate that stuff.
