Title: The official "who's doing what and where" thread!!!
Post by: Quickjet on August 29, 2007, 08:22:39 AM
Well my plans got canceled to go to CFW for Labor Day weekend. We had our baby on the 7th and my wife's C-section hasn't healed all the way. She is no way ready for a long trip. Instead we have some friends coming down who have a newborn as well. They are bringing their boat. So we were thinking of heading out to possibly the river and leave the chicks at home to do whatever it is they do when the guys are away. We are probably just going to do a day trip or two.
Where the hell is everyone going??? Would like to meet up (that's Meat up in beerjet terms) with some fellow socaljetboat peeps if possible.

Me and 3 other boats in my group will be going to martinez. we are leaving early Friday morning and coming back some time Monday. I live about 30-35 minutes from Temecula , and it takes me three hours to get there, so for you it would be a 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive.

Ha ha ha ha....yes his name is Cole and no we didn't name him after my boat "Cole Cash". We are Johnny Cash fans as well so integrating that into his middle name would of been easy to pull off, but we opted not to. Actually my wife decided on the name Cole if you can believe that.

Thats when you come in and suggest cash as a middle name . Being a HUUUUUUGE J R Cash fan , I can appreciate what an honor it would be for him . Congradulations on the crumb cruncher too.  ;D

Lol, you sound very responsible. The urge is just to great not to hit the water! This is one of those times someone gives good advice that I won't take lol

as if anyone cares what is going on in my neck of the woods. We will anchor the party barge in the cove Friday night and start our line. Friday night we will set anchors on the 55' pontoon, the 85' summerset, the 38' hatteras and the 32' wellcraft. We will tie off the smaller boats including my daycruiser and my buddies Tahiti. This will be home base through Monday night. Early mornings will be great for running thejets before everyone gets out and crazy! We are planning a sunrise trip Sunday up the lake to the dam which is about 56 miles from where we are anchored. That should be a great morning run!

56 miles,  I think I would have to fill up like 4 times to make the round trip. :(

I have twin 20 gallon tanks and i will just make it if i dont stay in it the whole trip. If the water is a ssmooth as I hope I will cut it close. I will turn around as my first tank goes dry. really cool trip! lake gets narrow and smooth as you aproach the head of the lake where the river comes in and the Dam is. the lake is where the colorado and the pedernales meet. They damned up the Colorado and the pedernales flows in freely!

Thanks guys for the congrats. He's a bit of a hand full at 3am. My poor wife is breast feeding him and he likes to eat at weird hours. At least we don't have to make him a  bottle. If that was the case then I'd be expected to get up and make it...........Screw that.. ;D
Hey Chromey:
Give your bro a big thanks for me. I appreciate his service.

I giggle like a school boy when I get that "still on the water" feeling while I'm on land.   :D
