She's already sold. 76 F-250 Hi-boy. Everything was forged steel, custom cam and crank, I put $13k into that naturally aspirated engine. She was stroked to 472. Not bored. The truck when I bought it from a local farmer had literally 3768 on the odometer. It sat for years in his barn. Had a 390 in it with a C6. replaced everything on that truck beside the body panels and interior. Everything else was brand new. I sold her for $9,000. When I sold her she had 6000+/- miles on the original odometer. I wish I had pulled the engine and set it up for a boat.

Some more engine specs... The engine started life out as a (I think it was a 67) Cobra Jet 429=same block as the 460 just a 4 bolt instead of the 2 bolt main. Then it had a 460 crank, and finally the custom 472. The cam grind was a 680 lift by 324intake 312 exhaust.

I paid $500 for the engine recipe from a local builder and she ended up the way she was. I just called the guy who bought it (sold it to him nearly a year ago) he said the tail shaft seal went on the tranny and the alternator grounded out somehow shorted itself out... Other than that she's running fine. Fun truck, a few near death experiences, a few smoked mustangs and corvettes a lot of imports to just wave and laugh at. I guess I really posted up this thread because I was getting a bit emotional about not having the truck anymore, just wanted to remind myself what it was like I guess. Loved that truck.

In the pictures, the very bottom picture was taken right before she was completed. The top three were after a year offroading, you can see where rocks and dirt being flung off the tires had messed up the body panels and original paint. Everywhere this truck went people looked and looked hard. Going through the local mall people would stop walking and just listen to it idle by. Thanks guys for hearing my sob story about how I miss my old truck.

P.S. those are 18 ton shackles on there. Those were the chebby recovery hooks. haha.
