The Wife's Rack....
« on: March 12, 2008, 07:25:44 AM »
I know what you guys are thinking. He posted in the wrong forum...

Well my wife has more pocket books than Amelda Marcos had shoes. She decided when we move into the house we are re-doing she wants to have a rack system to hold her pocket books. She even came up with the design. I took her design a little further and made it a bolt together type system. This makes it easier to disassemble and move it if I need to. Also, I might want to have this thing chromed so it would be easier to chrome the pieces instead of one big unit. You can see how I tig welded the nuts in and ground them smooth so the flanges sit flush. I then made a jig and tacked the flanges on. I also made a jig to make the hooks.  I have about 20 bucks worh of material. The last pics show some hooks missing. I have since finished the hooks. It is complete. I now have to find a place that will chrome it.

We are only a 50 minute train ride into Grand Central Station to New York City. From there hop on a subway to Canal St. aka ChinaTown. This is where you get the pocket books. All the LV and other stuff. You have to go into hidden rooms behind the stores cause these are illegal for them to sell. They got busted bad last week, but they will be up and running when the next ship full of stuff comes in.
