Looking like my wife may get laid off. My check was short 800 because of time off I had to take when my back went out last month. Both vehicle registrations due, renewed insurance, had a $700 electric bill, and I am supposed to buy plane ticket for my son's fall break visit in 3 weeks.  I'm going to have to cancel his visit which is gonna kill him, he was so looking forward to working on the old S10 Blazer my Mom gave him. I'm seriously thinking of selling my motor. Anyone need a 501ci bbf?

I feel your pain. For the last several years I have been bouncing from Cali, Texas, and Louisiana to stay afloat. (pun intended) My wife is a stay at home mom and we have a special needs child. (big medical bills) But I have kept the Taylor SJ thru it all. Keep your motor. I know they suck, but the bus is cheap. I have also sold every CD/DVD and all the BS in my garage on ebay. Worked out well. Had some garage sales as well. Anyway, just trying to throw some ideas out to help. Best wishes on your situation!

Thanks guys, I got good news last night. My ex said she would pay for his ticket. He is only 16 and things have been tough on him and we needed this bonding time. I'm probably going to sell my engine, but only if I get the right offer. I figure I can always build another one. Maybe not as cheap as I got this one, but then I can build it the way I want (forged crank, Highflow Dyn. block w/4bolt mains, roller cam, P51 heads etc.).

This is good news!  I need to hear good news.  We all do. 

For years to come you and he will remember this time so make it all it can be.  That pretty much goes for every day, eh?  Sorry to ramble but this job search is depressing me.  And I'm likely getting a divorce.

I feel your pain. ve been out of work for almost two months, stated a side bus, to stay afloat and the main cleint stuck me with $9000 bill and went out of business. Plus a just got a new house Im in the middle of remodeling.

well, sold the pump & hull. Paid some bills, but still a little short. Anyone need a Snap On impact gun or a shotgun? lol

Yeah, but I'm a glutton for punishment. Carry a S&W 1066 10mm (Loaded with silvertips), hunt with either one of my .357 Maximum revolvers or the converted Ruger SRM I have in .500 Long Linebaugh (WOW does THAT thing hurt to shoot!), and sleep with a .45 S&W 4566 under my pillow.

Always want what I shoot at, and more importantly hit, to drop pretty much immediately. Not a failure yet on the equipment, a few failures on the operator,  but when I'm on, they work flawlessly.

PM me whatcha want for it all. Only Shotgun I ever owned was a Wingmaster .410 that I loved! Sold it because I always hunted rabbits and squirrels back east with a .22 S&W revolver. Thing was never used. Out here, buds want me to go dove and quail hunting, and I really don't want to be the odd guy out trying that with a handgun (Though I just might at some point). I know yours needs a new, longer barrel for what I have in mind for it though. But in the interest of helping those on the site, well, hence my interest.
