i know im not the only one this happens to but somewhere this has got to stop!!!! have been in the prosess of getting a divorce for almost 3 years YAH 3 years!!!! have a girl friend which i really call my wife cause hell we have 2 kids and have lived together for a while . sorry getting off the point.THE court said everything had to be split down the middle for our son as in pay !!! thats a f--k-n joke!!!!!! just put my son in baseball which cost me 150.00 i have buy pants for him and the x pays for nothing!!!!!!!! and the court doesnt do s--t about it! but i miss a child support payment!!!!!! which is another one!!!!! just ranting sorry to say this but in the courts eyes men are scum and women can do no wrong!!!!!!

I agree only in cali a woman can be a complete crack head and still get everything az. is starting to look real good

That sucks! My old man went through a similar deal with his ex. The system is broken for sure.

Brother, I feel for ya! Been there, done that, as have many of us! I call it the "dick" tax. Just because you got a dick, and the Domestic Relations courts, etc are also full of them.......you're dicked! I think it was Robin Williams that once said "Divorce has become somewhat of a declaration granting a womans right to rip off a mans testicle through his wallet".
My case went on nearly as long as yours has, but back in Ohio and a long time ago. I was fighting for custody as I saw no reason I should be a part time dad simply because their mother couldn't grasp the concept that once you get married, you're SUPPOSED to stop dating.........She's done it yet again to her husband number 2 since......but ANYWAY, She had a college degree, I do not. During the proceedings she was awarded temp custody until the trial 9 months later. hence, I hadda pay Child support RETROACTIVE from the day I filed. She never filed, I did, so I was 5 months in the hole to begin with. Sooo, my actual biweekly take home pay was anywhere between $75-$125 for 5 months when my gross back then was $2000-2600....... was quite a joke with my peers, lemme tell you. Then when I won the trial........she's ordered to pay $360 a month........wait a fukin minute!!! same kids, right???? Been fighting that battle for 10 years and I don't think there's any way to win, even though she makes bank and I do NOT!
The way it is written in law, everywhere, is that they're supposed to figure both incomes, or income potentials in the case of an unemployed parent, figure the kids share, then whatever percentage works out for mom and whatever works out for dad is what you are responsible for. I don't beleive anyone in any Domestic Relations section on the planet has math skill 1 to know that 4+1 don't equal 2, and nowhere is there any followup on where any money goes spent by the custodial parent!
Miss a child support payment, your DL will be suspended, a warrant issued, etc, etc. If a woman does it? I can tell you what will happen. NOTHING!!!! I had a domestic relations employee in Ohio tell me over the phone once "Haven't you done enough, leave that poor woman alone............." She was no longer employed the following morning... >:D

Not going to comment on the actual situation, thankfully I don't know enough about it..
Just wanted to say that I think it sucks ass and hang in there.... Karma may be coming around... ;)

It is most likely too late now, but for anyone else I would urge you and the wife go to arbitration before hiring attorneys. The attorney always have their own interests to think about which really complicates things. If you can be civil to your spouse and work out things fairly and evenly it gets put down on paper and a judge will rubber stamp it. Women do understand $$$ and if you can get to arbitration before you really begin to hate each other, it will benefit everyone.
