Sometimes I wonder

I've been watching this boat on CL and for some reason I keep getting drawn to it (of course if you've seen some of my other boats, this oddity should come as no surprise). It's a '66 Cheetah 18' tri-hull with a single 4 tunnel rammed 460 and a Berk JC. Supposedly does 65 as it sits, but I keep thinking about what it would do with the 545 in it, fresh pump and a diverter. Sure would be fun to F with the gullwings and tunnels.......

. There was one out this weekend at big river nice boat. He just restored it cool boat.

I'd love to play with this hull as I recall from the old days it was the basis for gullwings, but I have some reservations. I've had steep entry bows and shutdown at speed would be like Mr Toad's wild ride.... probably bow-steer like a mad dog. I'm too old to play around with these and get wet 'cuz I'm curious. Looks like I'll keep looking for a nice tunnel to build. Baker, Taylor, Ultra, SW TD, etc if anyone has a line on one.
