Title: Tool kit
Post by: wrxracer87 on June 04, 2015, 08:43:31 PM
I'd like to assemble a tool kit to leave in the boat. Any recommendations? Other then the obvious tools, ie: wrenches , screwdrivers etc.

Bubble gum.  Seriously.  Yep this is me and the hubs (All Fired Up) with Brad as passenger, in All I can say is, I've never chewed so much bubble gum so fast in my life!  But hey.... Kept us from sinkin... And that's the truth!

I took an inventory of everything on my boat that I would want to fix while floating and bought specifically to leave inside the boat.  Some things require two of the same size wrench, so I have doubles of some.

Then, I have a dedicated toolbox that stays in the truck for anything major.

AN fittings
Hose ends
Spark plugs
Jet assortment
Silicone
RTV blue
Grease
Oil and filters
Gear oil

might add a 6 pack to that to ease the pain. Especially if you get towed by a ford.

You are correct sorry for the over site.  If you choose to venture further from camp you made need to increase the amount of pain reliever that will be required. I can't believe that got buy myself and Crew Chief  :screwy: for sure:thumbup:

I'm my bag minus the usual sockets, wrenches, ect I am gonna be repeating but...
Extra wire- various guages
Wire terminal set- for various guages
Terminal crimper
Volt guage or test light
Electrical tape
Two of every bolt I could have possibly used on my boat
File
Punch
Chisel
Hammer
Couple extra AN hose ends push lock style and hose clamps
Vise grips needle and regular
Teflon tape
Fuses
Silicon
Fast acting jb weld
Utility knife.
This is all that I carry on boat as far as with me on every trip I'll just post pics. Not too many times some one has needed something and Jimpen or me don't have it.
