warning super long rant with no point other my worst car experience ever read at your own risk lol so my woman and i wanted to buy another bronco to replace the one that she sold a few years ago( fear of super high gas prices and before i got a company gas card lol) so the bronco we ended up with was identical to the bone with the one that we sold at first we thought it was weird and amazing cuz the first one we had was such a good truck man o man were we fucken wrong lol after 6 months of having it it sprang a mystery water leak that i couldn't find for the life of me then the gauges stopped working then the fan clutch went out then the ac clutch went then the truck stated over heating going up the slightest hill and in any weather over 85. then finally the last nail in the coffin the trans went out....... what the fuck... that was the fastest trans failure Ive have witnessed in my whole life ( not counting trans granading or hard parts braking) the first 2 weeks it was just slushy no power the next 2 weeks it was surging the 2 weeks after that it was slipping like a bitch and getting 4mpgs at best and nothing over 40 mph. and the trans cost to rebuild $2600 i paid 1400 for the truck so ya not gonna happen after looking and surging and scrounging for a ford suv that was nice and in our price range we said fuck it and bought a fully loaded 03 z71 tahoe man o man i cant tell you how amazing it is to not have to keep the flat bed trailer on hold just in case the woman's truck breaks down on the way to work. tho i do feel like i have betrayed my ford blood a little i haven't owned a gm product since i bought my 69 firebird when i was 14( which i still have thank god cuz the value on that one has tripled if not more ) ever since then its been fords. what eve this truck is soo nice i don't even care lol and i still have my 74 ford f-100 4X4 which im never getting rid of so im good feel free to chime in bout any experiences were you betrayed your brand or super shit car experiences

Nothing wrong with switching brands. My entire family on my dads side bleeds ford and my moms bleeds mopar and yet my first car was a 72 chevelle and I still have it. I drove a srt4 and it was nice but no. Sold it Bought a Nissan frontier and loved it. Bought a 84 k5 4x4 to drive on weekends and go wheelin problem was it normally broke down before I got off my street. Gave it to my little brother and he's never had a problem.....what a dick. So then i bought a 79 ford 4x4 truck and a s10 from a marine that was transferring. couldn't kill that ford and the s10 well it was always something. Sold the s10 right before I got married and the Nissan about a year after and bought a 99 F250 diesel to grow into knowing their would be kids popping out. Then a few months later i Sold the 79 and my wifes honda and bought a toyota highlander, its been a great vehicle. Now my work truck, 04 2500hd. Since 07 when I got it its had 3 sets of head gaskets on one motor and 2 new motors. 1 trans, 2 rear ends and had the entire brake system replaced twice.(calipers, rotors, spindles, hydroboost booster, and lines)
Ford knows how to build trucks and they do it right. Chevy not so much, but ill never own a ford car. Guess im not a manufacture loyalist other then sticking with ford for trucks.

I use to be a Mopar only nut but have since owned Ford and Chevy. I agree with Nick. As long as its American.

So, I'm going to go ahead and play devils advocate here. For the record I have a ford f250 diesel, ford escape, mitsubishi lancer for vehicles. I curious as to what you feel as being american made? Toyotas and hondas use more parts that are sourced from america and built in american factories. Chevy and ford still outsource parts from mexico and even assemble some trucks in mexico. Gmc has strong ties with mitsubishi. Based on research from cars.com toyota and honda are more american made then any other manufacturer. it was posted for 3000 but the kid who must have been 18 needed money and dint know much about cars so i able to talk him down a lot cuz he needed the money. the point of the post wasn't the bad truck the point was switching to the opposite side of the spectrum going to a Chevy instead of a ford. also there are tons of good cars that can be had for 1400 bucks just gotta look for stuff posted higher and know how to talk people down or if you get lucky find people that dont know what they have

As long as its American in my book also. It pisses me off to see the dam toyotas in Nascar or American flag and or sticker on a tundra, nissan p/u or the gay honda trucks

cant knock on Toyota trucks much Ive had one and im part of a Toyota truck 4x4 club to i do agree the have no business at all in NASCAR or running American flags i sold my 4runner because it couldn't handle the beating and cold never be on par with my ford truck and the money that i would have had to put in to the yota just to make it keep up with my truck would been at least 3 times if not more than what i have suspension wise in my truck the only thing that the yota has on my ford is a slimmer track width. but the Nissan and Honda trucks are out of the question at least for me

i have no problem with toyota in nascar. they bring a lot of jobs to the US. they're a great company as well. my neighbor works for em and we get to do all kinds of cool stuff like below. i was in one of those trucks driving around a nascar track. heh

ive had like a billion mustangs in my life. after i get married ill be ditching the expedition and getting a navigator. i know thats not much of a brand change.

that's a cool pic u make a really good point Toyota does bring in a lot of jobs as there trucks are assembled is the usa witch is rely nice tho im still not sure about there involvement in NASCAR. tho im a die hard firebird fan i have had 2 mustangs and i wouldn't even have got my boat if it wasn't for my green fox body seeing as that's what i traded for my boat and the 3 years of out that came from my red mustang. tho i still love my firebirds my woman's grandpa had a99 navigator which unfortunately was left to her parents who are notorious for blowing cars up ( i mean come on who believes the standard oil change is every 9k ) was a nice ass truck one day i may get one depending on my situation on the ranch a xcab long bed deisle my be what i get next

toss up between a notch fox and an 03/04 cobra. both are easy as hell to mod, loud, and fast and fun and can take a beating.
i did enjoy my 96 though. had a great time going to irwindale every week.

the newer s197's are huge and cost an arm and a leg. a $60k+ off the lot mustang is NOT what the mustang name means to me.

Got to love the Fox's. Had a 84, 86, 89 and a 90. Then we got an 08 GT and did not fit a car seat so well so in came a Dodge Magnum. I hear they will be opening a 1/4 mile track in Perris. Supposed to be open by Jan 13. The 03/04 Cobras are nice. My Marine buddy lets me car sit his 500 RWHP one while he vacations due to a crazy ex. He put a solid axle in it and just skates through 3rd. That red hatch looks nice.

i was juuust about to take it for paint, ended up getting an offer i couldnt refuse and sold it. 3 days later it ended up wrapped around a telephone pole. my gf hated it anyways.

I dont know about the Toyota hate, because my ladies car is at 240k and still runs great, doesnt eat oil, and starts everytime, were gonna keep her corolla forever, just update her ride, and im thinking another corolla...

ive seen Toyota 22re motors run up to the 400k mark they do last forever of taken care of
