So last sat was USDR round five. they changed the whole set up. the race was on sat with no prerun. and all competitors on the same track at the same time. it actually worked out great. it was a little over 20 miles per lap and 4 laps for the leaders.
I showed up in my usual fashion with a mean hang over and not enough sleep or water. lol.. i got an ok start and kept a great pace until about mile 50 or so. then i started to peter out and i ran out of water and that did not help. I dont know how i did yet but i almost caught the riders that started 3 rows ahead of me cause one of my friends started there and he finished only a min before me. so i think i did pretty good. i am thinking a top 5 in my class i hope. I just need one more transfer spot to move up to the next class.
Overall a great race that almost killed me. it was the hardest race i have done to date. it was hot and long.. I loved it
