I can't wait to see that  >:D .
No double skis allowed; single only; anyone can ski on doubles and it's no fun; can't do much but drag behind the boat.

OK; I haven't been on a wakeboard yet, but unless you're actually jumping wakes and catching a lot of air, you can do more with a single ski; thus, more fun; we'll check it out at Parker come June.

As long as your going to start out a single, you might as well go for a shore start. No strain on the arms and you dont even have to get wet. Make sure the drivers not pissed at you for anything, he has as much to do with your success as you do. Piece of cake ;)

Beer Jet,

Check out the HO Rival or the HO Comp Freeride, if you are going to single ski.  I have a 71" Magnum XL that I bought last summer.  The tech in skis have really come a long way.  This ski is easy to ride and still cuts.  I learned on a 20 year old O'Brien in one weekend and bought mine before the next.  There was a hugh difference between the skis as the HO was almost effortless to get up on, comfortable / stable to ride, and most importantly, easy on the body the next day.  The HO is a little pricy @ about 300.00, but you can prabably pick one up on Ebay cheap.

Blame it on the driver. He has as much to do with it as anybody. I can and will get you up on a single ski this summer.

Just about any and all Saturday mornings I can get you a ride at Elsinore behind a tournament boat WITH a heater.  Let me know.  You could be in great shape by summer.  Might wanna consider a wet suit tho   ;D

I can set you up with an HO Magnum too.  Getting up and staying up will never get easier than with this bad boy.

I have two friends who go out at dawn every Sat for and hour or two.  Two wakeboarders and a new Mastercraft all alone this time of year. It means me getting out of bed b4 5AM with two little kids along so I don't go much.  That and the water is about 63 degrees right now and my "boys" don't like that much.

Dry suits are the shiz  ;D but at some point you will be cold (usually in the boat).  Ya just gotta remember that the water will feel "warmer" than the air blowing on ya.  I give them mad respect for being out there rain or shine and once in a while I just say F it and get a couple of runs in.  He and I used to do the Polar Bear swim in Feb.  The city will buy ya a shot of cognac for your participation !  December at Elsi isn't a whole lot different than a ski run in March at the river just don't drink the water LOL

I.m not sure. That picture was taken at the Waterski Nationals this year in Bakersfield. I wish I could say that was me on that ski but it isnt. I do however ski on a KD 5000. LOVE IT! The best ski I have ever had. Tried a KD7000 at first and was a little too touchy for me. I tried to get a membership at the ski park in Bako but was turned down because I own a jet boat. Oh well.
