Title: weeds
Post by: muffbro on July 20, 2013, 05:56:41 PM: went to the lake today..... as I was putting the boat in, a guy in a fishing boat launched ( double launch ramp) and immediately started drifting into me, I backed up and immediately lost power as I found an incredibly dense 'water weed' patch....... I didn't say anything, just reloaded And spent the next 20 min cutting the vegetation out of the pump...

I wanted to say something..... realllllly wanted to say something

I couldn't tell you how many times in the last 5 trips I wanted to blow up on someone stupid at the docks or on the ramp but that little girl that's sitting next to me having the time of her life is the best reason to just keep cool and move on.

But I agree with Omar, on a busy ramp ill have who ever leave the pin in the bow and a quick rap on the throttle with the diverter up before backing off the trailer gets people's attention pretty quick

Post by: GlassCutter on July 20, 2013, 08:31:19 PM: How about simply yelling at him or a short blast of air horn? A prop boat can certainly maneuver quicker than a jet at the ramp. Those little pocket air horns are handy for lots of things.
