oh, this holy roller supervisor felt threatened cuz I was a better machinist then him, been on my ass since day one. All the bigwigs are outtta town.

I know what you're saying man, the same thing happend to my roomate a week ago, but in the body shop world. Do you have machines at your house to work off of?

Yea, i did. I was in the middle of machining some billit seat mounts for the new buckets.

gimme a holla when you get to town 702 374-8108. I'm in the middle of putting graphics on the boat, jus started the body work on my '56. Maybe we can show you around some of the shops and supply houses we have here in town/ get together BBQ Etc.

I'm hoping to be up there Wednesday or Thursday. I have ALL of my engine parts except for pushrods. I'll call you at some point before I come up there. :P

Got a second interview tomorrow. It's an outfit that rents hotrods and classics, 65 cars. I'll be maintaining them keeping everything working and running.......maybe.

Good luck searching brother, wish I had my hot rod shop up and running, I'd hook you up with some work. But I'm about 8 years (or a winning lottery ticket) from that stage.

OK, I got another offer yesterday. Heres the deal, I start workin on Vetes at this dudes house untill we get to know each other. Then I order my new race trailer from Haulmark and I pick the cars up from the paint shop and take 'em home and do engine compartment details right in the trailer. These are all second gereration long ass stingray lookin things so same shit over and over, tear it down to the block paint and correct/detail everything all the way back up to the aircleaner. Not high dollar cars so we arent doing high dollar restorations just pretty 'em up and make 'em run. I'm thinking 50k ish....4 day work week. Got boatin to do ya know.

Sounds like a good gig to me, when do you start and when do you need my boat to do the detail/resto to? (hey it's 'glass, the vettes are 'glass, I hadda try!)

I wont be involved w/ any glasswork on these cars, I'll just be doing cosmetic "tune ups" on the engine/ interiors. I Do have another flatty that needs paint if ya wanna roll by and make a party of it.

I think me AND the ole lady got jobs at www.foreverresorts.com at Callville bay. Doesnt pay anything to start, till you show yer stuff, but hey i aint doing anything right now. They offer perks (house boat rentals Etc.) full bennies and cheap ass housing out there and we could tranfer all over the place. I could stand hangin out at the dock all day for a while while Vegas goes under.

Congrats Terry. This company recently purchased all the units on the south shore of Lake San Antonio. You could always move to Paso Robles. Central coast is an awesome place to hang out. Good luck with the new job(s).

Better then nothing, I mean we're alright for now, just boring sitting home all day. We go to the lake all the time, but i need structure like getting up everyday at the same time and going to work, ya know? Thanks fellas.

I will be boat mechanic, mostly outboards. No engine building and heavy stuff. Just hook a laptop to it, diagnose and repair. If the motor is bad replace it. They created a position for the ole lady, we both are WAY over qualified but it's kinda like being on vacation all the time...i think. They rent all kinds of boats, housboats, fishing boats, toons , skies Etc. People fuc 'em up out on the lake we gotta go get 'em or fix'em.

It just doesnt pay anything till at least April. Like I said we're alright for now. The boss lives in my hood so he's making a living. We can do any job on the property so we should advance ok. They start low because it's a transient community lotta tweekers come and go. we had to pee in a cup and all that yesterday....good damn thing i quit smokin weed. The lady pulled the shop foreman and some other guy in the office and said thes people can pass a drug test! A chuckle was had by all, foreman says<" I've heard THAT before"...we'll see huh?

It's funny you can tell the white getto from the black and mex by the shit they have in their yards. White trash hood= jet boats/skies, racetrailers, pickups w/ nascar numbers on the back windows Etc.
