whats up guys, the boat is back together and goin out to silverwood sunday for a test run... had a few questions. i flushed the block out yesterday and holy crap i cant believe how much debris came out. but the question is people say dont leave the hose water running when the engine isnt running. with a bbc, stock with basset headers OT, and the line shutoff by a ball valve to basset t... no thermostat , and coolant pressure at 0 psi. i dont see any way water can get into the oil?

so someone fill me in ON why your not suppose to leave the water running with engine off?

i did it cause how else do you flush the block? also my boAt wouldnt start and im about 90% sure it was due to bad fuel in my right tank. i couldnt see the bottoM of the tank with a flashlight, fuel was black. so i pumped all the bad gas out..... the actual color of the fuel was green! wtf? the fuel is obviously bad by smell. Has any one seen thiS green? if so what do you think cause the green color? i dont think the previous owner was running any high octane fuel of any sort but who knows? also black debris can be seen on the bottom of the tank... stuff looks hard. so im sure the filter for that tank is plugged and needs replacement. left tank is light yellow to almost clear
