Title: What's this fitting for on my Bassets?
Post by: ONE-A-DAY on May 12, 2014, 11:19:22 PM
Isn't this port for running water into the pipes?  My pipes have the water lines plumbed into the bend near the block.
So what's this port for?  It blocked off.  Also anyone have a suggestion for something good looking to put in there before I have them jet coated?  There is a rusty Home Depot set up in the holes now.

That little pipe is for running an evac system. Basically uses GM style SMOG "gulp" valves attached to the breathers (uses MOPAR style breathers).

Just to see what the system looks like.

As for plugging it up, stainless pipe plug with the inset allen head?

Or you can just sell/ trade and get a set without the fitting.
They come up for sale all the time.

Run a pan evac kit and use 'em.  No more oil dripping from the breathers, no catch cans, no PCV induced vacuum "leak".  I ran 'em on the white boat...worked nicely
